Sonia Krol, PhD
My approach to psychotherapy is based on collaboration, transparency (I will tell you what I honestly think), and finding the humour in life. Together, we’ll unpack the coping patterns that are based on old wounds but getting in your way now and figure out what you need to do differently to live a more fulfilling life.
Areas of Expertise
Emotion regulation difficulties
Low self-esteem
Relationship difficulties
Life transitions
Perfectionism
Anxiety
Psychotherapy
My approach is grounded in psychodynamics. This means that we will work to understand the origins of the issues that are creating suffering in your life. Understanding these origins builds awareness and awareness brings choice to do things differently. When doing things differently, I draw on tools from:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
